Blended Paediatric First Aid — 12-Hour Course, Delivered at Your Setting

Paediatric first aid training that fits around your nursery — not the other way round. Complete 6 hours of interactive eLearning at your own pace, then we bring the trainer to you for the practical day. Available 7 days a week, including evenings — so staff never need to be released for two full days.

From £389. Ofsted & EYFS compliant. Certificates issued on completion.

Who is the blended paediatric first aid course for?

Our blended paediatric first aid course is designed for anyone who works with young children — nurseries, pre-schools, reception classes, childminders, nannies and au pairs caring for babies, children under 8 and up to 18 years old. The course meets Ofsted and Scottish requirements for first aid training in Early Years settings.

The best of both worlds: online learning + one practical day with us

Part 1 — eLearning (6 hours): Complete at your own pace, wherever and whenever suits. Our interactive eLearning module covers the theory, so your staff arrive ready to practise, not to sit in a classroom.

Part 2 — Practical day at your setting: We come to you. One focused face-to-face session at your nursery or school — no travel, no cover for two days out. We train 7 days a week including evenings, so we'll find a day that fits around your staff rotas.

Our 12-hour course covers the complete statutory framework set out in Annex A of the EYFS, delivered as:
• Assessing an emergency situation and prioritising action
• Helping a baby/child who is unresponsive and breathing normally
• Helping a baby/child who is unresponsive and not breathing (CPR)
• Helping a baby/child who is having a seizure
• Helping a baby/child who is choking
• Helping a baby/child who is bleeding
• Helping a baby/child in shock caused by severe blood loss
• Anaphylactic shock and allergic reactions
• Electric shock
• Burns and scalds
• Suspected fractures
• Head, neck and back injuries
• Poisoning
• Foreign bodies in eyes, ears or nose
• Eye injuries
• Bites and stings
• Effects of extreme heat or cold
• Diabetic emergencies and asthma attacks
• Meningitis and febrile convulsions

Every delegate practises on baby and junior manikins and is assessed for competence, leading to a certificate valid for 3 years (renewed every three years as required by the EYFS).
